Mexicantarget, the owner of FaucetHub, claims he has taken this decision because of regulation requirements.
As a micro wallet, FaucertHub is a payment processor and Mexicantarget claims that makes him "legally required to become regulated as a financial company. Those of you who know me know I am a firm believer of privacy for myself and users here. This is where I draw the line, and will not be doing this."
So, he has decided that FaucetHub will change its name and have a new core focus: "providing Offerwall services to users and businesses. This involves the launch of a new platform tailored to users who claim from Offerwalls, as well as providing options for Publishers to earn from their traffic and for Researchers & Advertisers to promote and perform targetted crypto market research."
Beginning today, November 9th, and until December 10th, FaucetHub will be in a transitional phase. The new platform will continue to support Bitcoin but it will no longer support Altcoin.
You have to withdraw your Altcoins before December 10th, 2019!
Try to reach the minimum withdrawal limit for the Altcoins you have in FaucetHub because Mexicantarget has firmly announced that he will not lower the limits being enough time to reach the existing ones ...
Services and features that will not be available after December 10th:
- no services for Altcoin, including the processing of Altcoin withdraws - "Site stops withdraws on December 10th, 2019"
- the games Rambo Dice, Lottery, and Rock Paper Bitcoin will be disabled (it will be evaluated the viability of their opening on the new platform)
- the currency exchange will be terminated
- faucet API, faucet manager, API docs, and other faucet features will be disabled
- Premium account system will stop processing renewals automatically
After December 10th, FaucetHub will be in a "limited state", allowing access to:
- Dashboard and user account areas
- Ability to claim and earn from Offerwall providers
- Referral system
- Bitcoin withdraw functionality
- Chatbox and chat ads
- Forum
FaucetHub started its activity as a micro wallet in December 2016 and closes it after three years.
All faucets and programs that have as a unique payment method the payment in FaucetHub are affected by the FaucetHub owner's decision. It is up to these faucets owners to decide how they will go further. | The faucets and programs that also have as payment method the direct payout to your Bitcoin address (there are just a few like adBTC Top, AllCoins, ...) will continue to function!. |
- We will try to keep you informed with the changes.
!!! Attention to our readers that would like to migrate to Coinpot.co. Coinpot.co is not a micro wallet but only a part of the Moon sites, Bit Fun, and Bonus Bitcoin owner's business.
Yesterday, in the chat, SatoshiLabs owner announced he started to implement the Direct Payment Method - DPM (payment directly to users' wallets).
There are a few faucets that have already the DPM as an alternative.
We will highlight the faucets and programs that have the DPM for being easier for you to know what you can continue to use.
We kindly advise you to do your best and not to make the withdrawal request on FaucetHub in the last days before December 9th. It is safer :)
FaucetHub owner lowered the minimum withdrawal limit. Yes, good decision!
Next day after the announcement that FaucetHub will stop its activity as a micro wallet, its owner, mexicantarget, has come with ... a solution.
FaucetHub offers and external solution - it will create a script with the same API used on FaucetHub, script that helps faucet owners host their faucets. So, the faucet owners will have their own micro wallet, with no intermediary needed.
If the faucet owners that have used FaucetHub accept the solution, there will be hundreds of tiny micro wallets.
And what about security, as it is well known that FaucetHub has had problems in offering a high level security. Tiny micro wallets, a temptation for hackers?!?
FaucetHub, for the moment, looks dead - as one of the users has written in chat a few days ago.
The last FaucetHub owners' announcements:
- "As of December 10th 2019 FaucetHub has discontinued the majority of it's services and is in a pre-transition phase to a new platform."
- "Wallet's have been discontinued - Due to regulatory activity in our country we were forced to discontinue the hosting of Wallet services along with the rest of our services."
On November 23rd, he announced he had finished a micro wallet script for faucet owners.
We are waiting to see what will happen with FaucetHub site as its owner has stated it is not for sale.
